About Me
Hi, I’m Dylan Karlowicz — a wildlife biologist by profession and a photographer by hobby.
Spending my days out in the wild places of Nevada and California, I’m fortunate to work in some of the most breathtaking landscapes around Lake Tahoe, Reno, and beyond. When I’m not in the field for work, I’m often behind the lens, capturing the untamed beauty of the wildlife and natural scenes I encounter in my daily life.
Photography, for me, is an extension of my curiosity and deep respect for the natural world. My background in wildlife biology gives me a unique perspective — one that helps me to understand animal behavior and capture moments that reveal their true potential. Whether it’s the quiet stillness of a deer at sunrise or the powerful flight of an eagle over the Sierra, I aim to tell stories through my images that inspire connection and appreciation for the wild.
I’m currently based in Gardnerville, Nevada, but my work and adventures often take me throughout the Great Basin, Sierra Nevada, and California landscapes. Each place I visit offers something new to discover, and my goal is to bring a piece of that experience to you through my photography.
Thank you for visiting my site — I hope my images inspire the same sense of wonder that I feel every day in these wild spaces.
